Position Overview:
Navistar Supply Chain has an exciting opportunity for a Research and Development Material Planning position!
We are currently seeking a Materials Planner to join our team in Lisle, IL. The Materials Planner will be accountable for procurement and supply of engineering materials for use spread across various locations. There are opportunities to communicate and problem solve with cross functional teams including other supply chain team members, production, quality, engineering, third party logistics and procurement. Communication may be direct with supply base and/or through corporate conference calls. The Materials Planner is also responsible for material inventory levels as it moves through the R&D product cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Plans, schedules, and monitors the movement of material throughout the Procurement process
- Determines material requirements from Engineering
- Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, and engineering
- Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; work with bill of materials and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise-wide systems
Minimum Requirements:
OR
- At least 2 years of shop order planning and purchasing experience
Additional Requirements:
- Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
