Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 100 full-service firm, is seeking a skilled attorney to join their Labor & Employment Practice in Pittsburgh, PA. Position Overview: The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in employment law matters, with a focus on employment litigation (preferably on the management side). Admittance to the Pennsylvania Bar is required, while additional licensure in New Jersey, New York, and/or Ohio is highly desirable. This position is well-suited for proactive attorneys passionate about providing high-level legal services within a sophisticated practice, with the opportunity to assume significant responsibility in all aspects of labor and employment law.
Key Responsibilities: - Engage extensively with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel.
- Draft and respond to discovery and initial pleadings.
- Draft and argue motions.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Provide employment counseling and handle employment litigation matters.
Qualifications: - Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania; additional Bars (NJ, NY, OH) are a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in employment law matters.
- Prior experience in employment litigation required.
- Employment counseling or in-house employment law experience is preferred.
- Strong writing, analytical, and project management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment as both an independent contributor and a team member.
Preferred Qualifications: - Substantive litigation experience in any arena with a demonstrated interest in labor and employment law.
