About the Job
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Benefits Manager. This individual provide support for and administer employee benefits programs. The role requires a proactive communicator and strong project manager who can successfully administer and communicate our programs in compliance with all government rules and regulations.
What You'll Do | Key Accountabilities
  • Manage activities for internal and external audits, and annual compliance (ACA, 5500) notices, forms, and filings; coordinate activities and deliverables between internal and external partners and carriers to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery
  • Act as the subject matter expert for PeopleSoft as it relates to benefits including integrations with carriers, testing and product release, ensuring full functionality of system
  • Create and maintain documentation of reporting processes and training guides
  • Serve as a liaison for the Benefits Contracts, third party administrator, and payroll
  • Is the subject matter expert in all benefit related matters, provides updates, and Participate in the development and execution of the employee engagement initiatives including wellness, department activities that drive employee engagement with program offerings
  • Advise management on plan related matters and solutions
  • Assist external benefits consultants in answering employee questions regarding interpretation of benefit policies, reviewing disputes and appeals, and in responding to third party requests.
  • Manage new hire benefits enrollment and the annual Open Enrollment process.
  • Document administrative procedures and recordkeeping processes and recommends improvements
  • Prepare employee booklets and communications
  • Work closely with Finance and Accounting to ensure timely payment of invoices
  • Review annual non-discrimination testing and manages return of excess contributions
  • Lead all benefit projects including implementations and RFPs
  • Manage internal and external employee communications
  • Other as leadership determines
What You'll Bring | Skills & Experience
  • 15+ years of professional experience in Corporate Benefits Administration
  • 10+ years of leading Open Enrollment and Implementations
  • Previous experience leading the implementation of benefits enrollment systems and 401k recordkeeper, soliciting requests for proposal, and working with investment advisors
  • Previous experience in developing benefits strategies for both US and Canada
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Knowledge of benefit related regulations and requirements (COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, PPACA, Etc.)
  • Proficient with Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, formulas etc.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in H&W and retirement plan implementation, administration and project management
  • Organized, self-motivated, and capable of working in a rapidly changing environment with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management
  • Superior consultative and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills; able to make data driven decisions
  • In-depth knowledge of HCM systems, Benefits outsourcing, process documentation and reporting (experience with PeopleSoft preferred)
  • Ability to always maintain confidentially and discretion
  • Current, in-depth knowledge of federal and state legal requirements related

The starting salary for this position is $80,704.00-$107,598 and may increase to $134,492 depending on merit, length of service with the Company, and other factors. We take into consideration an individual's skills, background, and experience in determining final salary.
