A Lead Forklift Operator is responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe operation of forklift activities within the warehouse. This role combines hands-on forklift operation with supervisory duties to ensure smooth logistics operations. Key responsibilities include:

• Supervision and Leadership : Overseeing a team of forklift operators, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to maintain high operational standards.
• Forklift Operation : Operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, move, and stack products safely and efficiently.
• Inventory Management : Utilizing radio frequency (RF) scanning equipment to track inventory, ensuring accurate documentation of product movement and storage.
• Safety Compliance : Ensuring all team members adhere to safety regulations and company guidelines, conducting routine equipment inspections, and addressing any safety concerns promptly.
• Quality Assurance : Inspecting shipments for quality and accuracy, reporting any product damage or discrepancies, and ensuring proper handling of materials.

Qualifications :

• Experience : Previous experience as a forklift operator with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Certification : Valid forklift operator certification, with knowledge of operating various types of forklifts and adherence to OSHA standards.
• Skills : Strong organizational and time management skills, excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
