Manager on Duty Job Description The SafeSplash Manager on Duty is responsible for supervising Swim Instructors, Office Staff, and Lifeguards while executing essential duties necessary for efficient operation of a facility in the absence of the General Manager or Assistant General Manager.
Qualifications:
- Recommended Competitive swim experience
- Minimum 1 year swim instructor experience
- Able to work evenings, Saturdays and Sundays at times when General Manager and/or Assistant General Manager are not working
- Ability to lead and motivate others
- Ability to recognize problems and implement solutions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to operate a computer with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance
- Typing minimum 45 wpm
- Current American Red Cross LG certification
Responsibilities:
- Teach Swimming Lessons, Manage the Deck, Work Front Desk, Lifeguard for 10-20hours per week
- Act as manager in absence of Upper Management
- Assist Upper Management with duties and responsibilities such as, but not limited to:
- Maintain pool and equipment, including maintenance
- Enforcing Policies and Procedures
- Oversee promotions of swimmers and offer solutions for non-promoting students
- Employee and lifeguard schedules, substitutes, and attendance
- Address and resolve parent complaints
- Assist in monthly staff meetings
- Train/mentor hourly staff
- Maintain and monitor new instructor training and continued education
