About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director to steer our mission in scientific research, conservation, and educational initiatives. This pivotal role will encompass strategic, operational, and financial leadership, driving our impact within the community and enhancing our reputation nationally.

The successful candidate will oversee all organizational activities, cultivate a thriving workplace culture, and deliver visionary leadership to a talented, multidisciplinary team. You will serve as our chief spokesperson, lead fundraising efforts, and protect the ecological and economic integrity of our natural and agricultural lands.

The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific or management field, a robust background in ecological research, and a successful history in fundraising and donor relations.

Key Qualifications:

• A minimum of 10 years of active research and/or management experience, with at least 5 years in an administrative role.
• Expertise in natural resources management, scientific writing, and a proven record of successful grant applications.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a deep commitment to biodiversity conservation and education.
• A values-driven, servant leadership approach with a solutions-oriented mindset, fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.

You will also be responsible for:

• Financial oversight and strategic planning.
• Engaging in research and educational activities as your schedule allows.
