About the Role
The organization is excited to announce an opportunity for a Development Director to spearhead innovative fundraising strategies that align with our mission of promoting global health equity. This pivotal role involves the creation and execution of comprehensive annual fundraising plans, collaborating closely with our senior leadership to drive fundraising initiatives, and overseeing all aspects of grant submissions. We are searching for a strategic thinker who can design and expand development campaigns, organize impactful events, and cultivate robust donor pipelines. As the Development Director, you will play a key role in nurturing long-lasting relationships with major donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations, ensuring our organization's achievements are effectively communicated to a diverse donor community.
Key qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's degree (Master's or relevant certification preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of experience in fundraising within the global health nonprofit sector. You should possess a proven ability to secure five- and six-figure donations, substantial experience in nonprofit marketing, and advanced skills in donor engagement and project management. We seek an individual passionate about our mission, with outstanding communication skills, who is willing to travel as necessary. Attention to detail, the capability to thrive in a dynamic environment, and a collaborative, servant leadership approach are essential elements of this role. Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
