Job Summary: Join our dynamic team as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in Microbiology! We offer a $12,500 SIGN ON BONUS for qualified applicants. In this role, you will perform and report various analyses from multiple specimen sources, providing critical support in delivering exceptional patient care. Job Duties:
- Maintain high productivity levels while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Handle specimens with proper techniques, ensuring identification and suitability.
- Utilize effective accessioning procedures and identify discrepancies in patient orders.
- Resolve issues and communicate solutions as necessary.
- Conduct regular instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control.
- Restock reagents and supplies following established guidelines.
- Adhere to established reporting procedures across various platforms.
- Assist in training and onboarding new team members.
- Engage in continual educational activities to stay updated in the field.
- Complete competency assessments as required.
This position is based in our state-of-the-art Microbiology Laboratory, which supports eight hospitals and performs over one million tests annually. As part of a collaborative team of Medical Technologists and Laboratory Assistants, you will work with cutting-edge technology to support microbial diagnostics around the clock.

Education Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university, plus completion of an ASCP/NAACLS-accredited Medical Technology program; or
- Bachelors degree with a major in biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science and ASCP certification; or
- Bachelors degree with related experience equivalent to a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT);
- Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory information systems is preferred.
Military Experience: Military candidates such as US Army 68K Medical Laboratory Specialist, US Navy Medical Laboratory Technician, or US Air Force Medical Laboratory Apprentice are encouraged to apply.
