Job Description

Description

This candidate will be responsible for preparing a large volume of analytical samples and solutions to support research and development analytical laboratories. This includes ICP sample prep, wet bench chemistry and general lab maintenance that support the development of a variety of healthcare products.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing ICP samples using wet ashing techniques.
  • Possibly preparing samples and solutions for LC/GC analysis.
  • May be conducting extractions and gravimetric analysis.
  • General laboratory activities and instrumentation potentially including: pipetting, preparation of solutions/samples/media, and operation of pH meters, autoclaves and analytical balances
  • General laboratory upkeep and supplies maintenance.
  • Disposes of laboratory materials and samples using well-established guidelines and instructions.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science
  • Chromatography experience would be a plus.
  • Good deductive reasoning and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Able to handle multiple projects concurrently, self-motivated, and results driven
  • Able to communicate effectively

This position will require good time management skills and a high level of independence after the training phase. Good organizational skills, record keeping and follow through will be integral to success. The candidate will need to communicate effectively verbally and by e-mail.
