As a Travel Nurse RN specializing in the ICU, I provide critical care for adult patients and occasionally stable pediatric patients in a fast-paced environment. My responsibilities include managing a patient-to-nurse ratio of 2:1, maintaining certifications like BLS and PALS, and adapting to the needs of other departments as necessary. With a flexible schedule of 12-hour shifts and opportunities for charge nurse duties, I ensure high-quality patient care in a 9-bed intensive care unit.

    Job Details
  • 9 bed ICU, ratio 2pts to 1 nurse unless 1:1 is indicated.
  • Potential for Med/surg overflows then up to 3 to 4 pts per nurse.
  • 12 hr day or night shifts.
  • Schedule is 72 hrs every two weeks.
  • Adult ICU although on occasion will have stable pediatric patients, unstable pediatrics are transferred to higher level of care.
  • Minimum of three nurses on each shift.
  • Additional $2.00 per hour if assigned to charge nurse duties.
  • May float to other departments to help (not take a team of patients) if needed.
    Job Requirements
  • Must have PALS.
    Schedule Information
  • 12 hr day or night shifts.

    Unit Specific Information
  • Adult ICU with potential for stable pediatric patients.
