We're seeking an Endoscopy Shift Nurse Manager with BSN, two+ years of GI experience and 1-year of Charge Nurse experience preferred . Our Registered Nurses are integral members of inter-professional teams in hospitals and clinics that are committed to outstanding patient care.

  • Plans, coordinates and directs the daily operations of a specific shift on a clinical unit. Supervising staff and facilitating communication with physicians and internal administrators to provide optimal patient care.
  • Routinely uses acquired knowledge, theory, research and experience to respond to changes in clinical situations. Is recognized as a charge agent and is recognized as an expert clinician and leader within their area of specialty.
  • Coordinates unit staffing to meet the needs of the department and mentors other Registered Nurses to the role and function of Charge Nurse.
  • Completes employee conference, risk management and unit management reports within specified time frames.
  • Identifies, recognizes and responds to the needs of unit staff to ensure that they have the resources and tools available to meet patient and family needs.
  • Assists in administrative activities and completes performance reviews with Unit Director input.
  • Must meet all Clinical Nurse I Employee Commitments. Achieves points and contact hours as defined in the PLAN (clinical lattice) point system to maintain position.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Two years' experience as an RN with a minimum of two years of experience in the area of concentration.
  • Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
  • Certification preferred. BLS required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.
  • If promoted internally or hired externally, the incumbent must complete UCN/SNM criteria requirements within nine months of promotion or hire, including completion of Enhancing your Communication HLC, completion of formal preceptor training workshop and enrollment in LEAP course.
