Cross Country Locums is seeking a Residency Trained Board-Certified Anesthesiologist to help with an ongoing opportunity for a Surgery Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. Please review the details below and let me know your thoughts.
- August 10-15 Coverage Needed
- Occasional dates will be needed in the future for coverage
- 1 CRNA,1 Doctor 80% doing own cases, 20% of time giving breaks, H&P's
- They are very organized and move patients quickly, doc should comfortable doing your own cases or supervising, people are very pleasant at this location, not at all unreasonable, very good CRNA that has been there long enough to know everything, nursing staff is also very experienced, CRNA works independently (supervised by surgeon) and sometimes supervised by the AN (our doc) Doc does the kid (ear tubes and tonsilectomies - small part of the practice) CRNA NEVER works in a room while our doc works in another room with the expectation that our (MDA) doc will sign off on CRNA.
- GS mostly, URO (systo's, small bladder tumors), simple ENT, Podiatry and GYN.
- they might do 15-17 cases per day twice per week and 12 cases other 3 days, our docs are almost always out by 3:00 PM.
- one day per week pretty busy, always want 2 rooms going, 1 day per week they do cataracts and a CRNA does this surgery, 10-12 cases is a normal day
