The Software Development Career Training Program at Year Up United offers a year or less of intensive job training for young adults, combining technical and professional skill development with access to internships and job placement services. Participants receive personalized coaching, mentorship, and an educational stipend while gaining essential business communication and networking skills. With a focus on in-demand tech courses such as Helpdesk Support and Application Development, graduates achieve a high employment rate and average starting salary soon after completion.
Year Up United is a one-year or less, intensive job training program that provides young adults with in-classroom skill development, access to internships and/or job placement services, and personalized coaching and mentorship. Year Up United participants also receive an educational stipend.
The program combines technical and professional training with access to internships and job placement support through our industry-leading talent placement firm YUPRO Placement. If you receive an internship, it may be at Amazon, Dell Technologies, Merck, or The University of Texas System among many other leading organizations in the Austin area.
Are you eligible?
You can apply to Year Up United if you are:
- 18-29 years old
- A high school graduate or GED recipient
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Live within a 30 mile radius of the Year Up United office
- Available Monday-Friday throughout the duration of the program
- Highly motivated to learn technical and professional skills
- Have not obtained a Bachelor's degree
