Clinical Details
- Setting: ER
- Duties: Routine ER duties; codes; ER locums don't have a lot of trauma responsibilities
- Annual volume: 1st facility - IP ED Visits: 7,607 and OP ED Visits: 28, 521; 2nd facility - IP ED Visits: 75 and OP ED Visits: 23,956
- Coverage: 1st facility single doc + APC; 2nd facility is 36h doc+ APC
- APPs schedule: 1st facility 11a-11p; 2nd facility: 11a-11p,(occasionally more)
- Supervise APPs: yes, sites charts are cosigned by Physicians
- Admits, 17-20%
- ED responsible for codes: at 1 facility
- Specialty Backup/Support: easy transfer center process
- Freestanding ED
- Hospitalist are on site, Hospital Medicine always admit
Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible
- Active NE license or IMLC - Highly Preferred
- will accept candidates who need to obtain a NE license
- ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS
- Clean Malpractice - Highly Preferred
- Minimum Education: M.D., D.O.
- Training: Completion of an ACGME/AOA approved Emergency Medicine residency program
- Experience: Actively practicing as an Emergency Medicine Physician for the last 12 months or completion of an Emergency or Medicine Residency in the last 6 months
- Medicine Residency in the last 6 months
- Local candidates - Preferred
