M-F, 8-5. If a locum preferred, they could do some clinic work which would be done in the afternoons and could be 1-5 days/week with clinic volume of 6-7 patients per half day.
Daily census for hospital: 7-8 patients for inpatient monitoring. Support staff: full rehab unit team with physical/occupational/speech therapists. Discharge planning needed and social worker, rehab nurses and neuropsychology support. Note hospital is connected to clinic so consultants readily available.
Most commonly seen patients: stroke, ortho trauma, brain injury, non-traumatic spine.
Unit / core team has many years of experience. Very high patient satisfaction scores (95%). Good outcomes, shorter length of stays with average length of stay being 14 days.
