Piper Companies is seeking an Operations Associate - New Business/Premium Remittance to join a technology-driven insurance company located in Durham, NC through a Hybrid work schedule. The Operations Associate - New Business/Premium Remittance will provide essential day-to-day support, addressing lower-level technical issues and ensuring smooth operations for the team.
Responsibilities of the Operations Associate - New Business/Premium Remittance include:
- Review and process new annuity applications for completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare and follow up on 1035/rollover transfer documentation.
- Ensure timely premium processing and manage outgoing funds for not taken orders and overpayments.
- Communicate with producers to ensure accurate processing and provide status updates.
- Maintain knowledge of annuity offerings and tax procedures.
- Promote digital platforms and comply with company policies.
Qualifications for the Operations Associate - New Business/Premium Remittance include:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in insurance or financial services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and proper phone etiquette.
- Proven ability to multitask effectively, thrive in a collaborative team environment, and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and other PC skills,
- Bachelors degree, with an accounting or financial background considered an asset.
- Must work onsite 3 days a week in Durham, NC.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Compensation for the Operations Associate - New Business/Premium Remittance include:
- $23/hr, Full-Time
