As the Sr . Director of Supply Chain, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, external manufacturing, supply chain planning & analytics, and quality. You will play a crucial role in optimizing supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, minimize costs, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products to our customers. The Vice President of Supply Chain will collaborate with other members of the executive team to streamline and maximize overall performance.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for demonstrating commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize the supply chain, improve efficiency, and reduce costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure high performance and employee engagement.
- Oversee inventory management activities, including warehousing, inventory tracking, forecasting, and replenishment strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Lead and mentor Quality department, drive continuous improvement in quality, and own final responsibility for all quality related matters
- Serves as functional owner of ISO/BMS (Business Management System).
- Develop and implement operational systems to monitor and control critical supply chain processes.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate favorable terms, secure competitive pricing, and ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
- With the Director of Quality, implement robust quality control measures to ensure that all incoming materials and finished products meet our quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the Vice President of Manufacturing to align supply chain and production strategies, optimize production schedules, and minimize lead times.
- Has the authority and decision over the shipment of any product or products and accepts the responsibility for products being in compliance with all regulatory and company standards
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track supply chain performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous process optimization.
- Develop and maintain effective risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions and ensure business continuity.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in supply chain management, and leverage this knowledge to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
- Represent the company in supply chain-related discussions, meetings, and negotiations with internal stakeholders, external partners, and industry associations.
- Provide support, training and development to team members that continuously improves Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.
- Expected to be a contributor to the company standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment while creating a positive work environment.
- Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by leadership.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred plus a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, or related leadership roles within the manufacturing industry and/or equivalent combination of education and experience to fulfill the requirements of the position.
- Proven track record of leadership and strategic planning.
- Strong technical knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management, logistics, and procurement practices.
- The ideal candidate is certified in one or more quality-related disciplines (e.g., CQA, CMQ/OE, PMP).
- Demonstrated experience in implementing continuous improvement initiatives, lean methodologies, and operational excellence programs.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and build relationships with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and executive leadership.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to drive results through effective vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software, ERP systems, and other relevant tools and technologies.
- Relevant certifications such as APICS (CPIM, CSCP), Six Sigma, or Lean Six Sigma are a plus.
- Experience leading change initiatives and managing organizational transformation, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive positive change.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting and bending throughout the workday.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.
- Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy.
