Job Description
The University of Findlay invites applications for an Assistant Professor position to teach in the educational administration program in the College of Education (COE). The COE is seeking a candidate with experience working as an administrator in PK-12 schools; preferably with principal experience. The COE prepares caring, inclusive, innovative, and highly qualified professionals. Candidate may teach graduate and undergraduate courses. The college offers undergraduate and post-baccalaureate licensure in Primary, Middle Childhood, Intervention Specialist, AYA and Multi-Age areas, as well as several endorsements. The licensure programs have a strong field experience component and the college is accredited through CAEP. The College has a Master of Arts in Education, Principal and Superintendent Licensure, an EdD program, and an EdD in School Psychology.
Successful candidates must have a terminal degree, previous PK-12 teaching and administrative experience. Previous university teaching preferred, including online teaching experience, with a preference toward candidates with a background in teaching mathematics in PK-12 education. The applicant should be willing to assist in marketing and recruitment efforts for the principal program and willing to chair and serve on doctoral committees. Candidates must be committed to student-centered education as well as professional development and academic scholarship.
