What does a Home Health Clinical Manager do?

The Clinical Manager assists the Director of Clinical Services/Administrator in supervising home health services to patients in place of residence by physician orders and strives to provide the highest quality of care. Some examples include:

Complies with accepted professional standards and principles
Follows Agency policies and procedures to set an example for employees
Maintains compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures
Reviews clinical documentation and maintains current knowledge of all Medicare, Federal, Insurance, Company, and Hospital guidelines, policies, and protocols

What are some of the qualifications of a Home Health Clinical Manager?

Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing and currently licensed in the state(s) in which practicing
Two years of experience in nursing preferred
Minimum of six months experience in skilled, geriatric home health care
Proficiency in OASIS documentation, required
Acceptance of the philosophy and goals of the Agency
Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment
Ability to work with individuals to enlist the cooperation of many people to perform/achieve a common goal
