Hello, my name is Kristen and I raise tiny little show chickens called Belgian d’Anvers and I also have an indoor only cat. My flock consists of about 100 birds. I have a chicken show coming up January and will be gone between Jan 16-20 and my birds will need care during this time. Generally every other day care works best, but the feeders and waterers can often make it 2-3 days, so the exact time you come is flexible. Winter time may require defrosting chicken waterers once per day. The chickens take 2 hours to care if all feeders and waterers need changing at once (or 30 minutes or less if it’s a partial care day), but it doesn’t matter what time you stop by, since they all have bulk feeders and waterers meant to last a few days at free choice. The cat should be fine but he will be lonely and would love a little attention and a check to make sure the food and water is good. Payment is negotiable.
