Job Description

A successful candidate is both a self-starter and works well collaborating with a team. The quality of the host-guest interaction is a crucial aspect of delivering excellent hospitality-- communication is paramount in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of service and hospitality to guests while staying true to the Osito culture
- Communicate with chefs for daily menu changes & print menus accordingly
- Complete opening/closing sidework as outlined in daily sidework sheets
- Understand all aspects of service and be a role model for other members of the staff
- Maintain a graceful and professional manner on the floor at all times
- Check in guests and ensure waiting guests needs and expectations are managed
- Check-in coats and bags as needed
- Promptly manage reservations through Resy software
- Check voicemail messages, texts & emails and manage guest needs accordingly
- Communicate with dining room staff to keep detailed notes on guests and build rapport
- Ensure Captain/Sommeliers & Kitchen have knowledge of guests special needs (allergies, VIPs, wine pairings, etc.)
Qualifications
- Two years of experience in a similar restaurant environment preferred
- At least 1 year of hospitality experience preferred
- Resy & InDesign experience preferred
- Able to describe menu items and communicate guest preferences
- Possess a hospitable and gracious demeanor
- Food Handler’s Safety Permit, TIPS training certification
- US work authorization required
