Job Title: Mechanical Designer/Drafter

Job Description

Prepare drawings and engineering packets for manufacturing, including Bills of Material. Develop, maintain, and update Auto Desk Inventor Pro and AutoCAD library for standard parts design. Design special tooling and jigs for manufacturing and create other designs as necessary. Provide support to manufacturing as required and mentor manufacturing personnel in proper manufacturing techniques. Follow complex instructions and diagrams to create or modify drawings using company drafting standards, in accordance with the person: 2015.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare detailed drawings and engineering packets for manufacturing, including Bills of Material.

+ Develop, maintain, and update Auto Desk Inventor Pro and AutoCAD library for standard parts design.

+ Design special tooling and jigs for manufacturing.

+ Create additional designs as necessary.

+ Provide support to manufacturing and mentor personnel in proper manufacturing techniques.

+ Follow complex instructions and diagrams to create or modify drawings using company drafting standards, in accordance with the person: 2015.

Essential Skills

+ Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and Auto Desk Inventor Pro.

+ Experience in drafting, designing, and product design.

+ Proficiency in mechanical design specifically within Auto Desk Inventor Pro and AutoCAD 2D from scratch.

+ Experience within a manufacturing environment.

+ Prior experience reading the person and using MS Excel.
