Job Summary
The Drafting Designer is responsible for accurately capturing concepts and delivering digitized CAD output. Multi-discipline designs will be converted to CAD. The DT will act as a liaison for Engineering resources to accurately capture concepts and digitize as- built projects. The DT is responsible for archiving drawings and will provide drawing resources from the database upon request. DT will support Waterville's manufacturing site in a variety of technical assignments to create innovative solutions to technological problems.
Essential Functions

  • Use CAD to convert mark ups / redlines from Engineers and Technicians into technical drawings.
  • Work from rough sketches and specifications to create accurate CAD drawings.
  • Must have proficiency in a CAD package, preferably AutoCAD.
  • Provide technical support and resources to Waterville's Maintenance and Engineering team.
  • Proficiency in interpreting mechanical, electrical, and piping drawings is necessary.
  • Provide critique of designs to aid engineers and technicians.
  • Drawing control manager through AutoDesk Vault.
  • Work with Safety Advocates to maintain and update confined space lock out requirements for designated locations throughout the mill.
Job Qualifications
Required
  • Solid mathematical skills.
  • CAD Proficiency - preferably AutoCAD.
  • Very detail oriented.
  • Great time management skills with the ability to work on your own.

Salary Starting at $80,000 depending on experience.
