Investment bank seeking legal counsel to support data, tech and researchHybrid role 2-3 days in New York CityAbout Our ClientInvestment bank.Job DescriptionThe VP, Legal Counsel will report directly to the Managing Director and will be responsible for supporting the equity research team on a wide range of commercial and technology related legal matters, including:Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial, vendor and technology related agreements pertaining to the financial services industryAdvise the business on data-focused issues relevant to financial services, including: data use permissions and restrictions, IP protection of copyright and trade secrets, cyber security incident response, use of AI and web scraping, etc.Provide training to internal stakeholders on policies, procedures and new regulations related to technology and dataProvide sound legal advice to a wide range of internal clientsWork closely with other members of the legal team in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentThe Successful ApplicantJD from a US ABA-accredited law schoolAdmission to NY state Bar4-6+ years of experience advising financial institution clients on commercial and technology transactions gained at a combination of law firm and in-house experienceExperience with data-focused issues relevant to financial services, including: data use permissions and restrictions, IP protection of copyright and trade secrets, cyber security incident response, use of AI and web scraping, as well as significant contract negotiation experienceExperience advising clients on data and technology matters inside the regulatory frameworks of a broker-dealerExcellent drafting and negotiating skillsCIPP a plusMust have experience partnering directly with clients on a daily basisTeam player with excellent communication skillsWhat's on OfferCompetitive base salaryBonusBenefitsHybrid environmentRoom for career advancement#J-18808-Ljbffr
