ob Title: Electro-Mechanical Technician 1Requested Pay Rate: $20.00 per hourShift: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to SaturdayDescription: EAD is seeking a dedicated Production Support Technician to assemble, test, and troubleshoot subsea electrical components, including in-house connectors, sensors, and third-party components. This role will be essential for supporting planned production items and refurbishment activities. As part of a global entity, you will collaborate with product line managers and engineering teams worldwide to ensure the delivery of high-quality products from our Houston facility. Your day will involve reviewing technical drawings, quality programs, and applying various testing methods to meet stringent performance standards.How You'll Make an Impact (Responsibilities) Customer Interaction: Interface directly with customers to provide answers to their questions and resolve any issues. Root Cause Analysis: Perform thorough root cause analysis on system failures to ensure reliability and functionality. Engineering Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to troubleshoot projects and manage design changes. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all shop equipment is well-maintained between projects, ensuring operational efficiency. Calibration Programs: Run calibration programs for subsea systems to ensure precise and accurate operations. Workload Planning: Efficiently plan and execute tasks, ensuring projects are completed on schedule. Mechanical Assembly: Perform mechanical assembly of subsea hose assemblies and distribution units. Testing: Conduct leak testing, oil filling, and electrical testing on subsea assemblies. Hyperbaric Chamber Operations: Operate the hyperbaric chamber for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of completed projects. Travel: Primarily work in the Houston shop, with occasional international travel for training at other Siemens Energy sites.What You Bring (Requirements) Experience: At least 5 years of experience in an oil and gas environment. Flexibility: Ability to adapt to varying work hours to meet urgent delivery deadlines. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills to balance workload and meet deadlines. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills for customer and team interactions. Technical Skills: Strong computer skills, including experience with both productivity and industrial software. Electrical Testing: Familiarity with electrical test equipment and software.
