Our philosophy is at the core of everything we do: Innovate to Simplify®.OVERVIEW: Construction Innovations is seeking sales professionals with a hunger to chase and close new business to serve as Business Development Managers for the electrical and low voltage systems of a commercial building, industrial, utility-scale solar, and/or medium-to-high voltage substation, transmission, and disarray projects. This key role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building new client relationships, and integrating strategies to increase the company's revenue and market presence. They work closely with marketing, and strategic planning team members to drive business growth and close new business. RESPONSIBILITIES:Identifies new business opportunities and develops new client relationships in all market sectorsWorks with Marketing team members to identify potential business opportunities, understand customer needs and industry trends, and staying updated on the competitive landscape to increase the company's profitabilityWorks with various team members to develop and implement strategies to meet new customer revenue the targets, identify new customer prospects, and pitching products and/or services Tracks and ensures opportunity information in the sales database is up-to-date and provides pursuit updates regularlyLeads new client interviews and interview preparationDevelops, negotiates, and closes business with new clientsAttends client functions and/or industry-related events, as neededConducts site visits as necessaryCultivates relationships with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and subcontractorsLeads the Sales team's preparation of responses to RFPs and RFQs including development of conceptual designs and estimates for new clientsWorks with Marketing and Sales team members on pricing based on experience, historical data, and market conditions to drive profitabilitySupports the analysis of revised plans and specifications for changes that may affect budget and sell priceSupports obtaining the most current information used in the preparation of estimates and proposals/quotes Manages account transition to the Preconstruction Management and Project Management teams Supports the Preconstruction Manager and Project Management team during the preconstruction and construction phases of the project to ensure customer satisfactionPerforms all other duties as assignedWORK ENVIRONMENT:The Business Development Manager spends most of their time in an office environment, however, travel to conferences, customers, project sites, trade shows, suppliers, etc., and working remotely may also be required. The office is an open and collaborative space where work is performed both independently and with the team to ensure that customer requests are met.REPORTING STRUCTURE:This is an exempt position that reports to the Director of Growth and Development.CAREER ADVANCEMENT: Career advancement at Construction Innovations is possible with all positions, but is not guaranteed. Advancement could be within the current department or to other departments within the company. LOCATION: Construction Innovations facilities and offices are located in Sacramento, CA, and Mather, CA. COMPENSATION: Construction Innovations pays hourly/salary rates commensurate with each employee's knowledge, experience and skill level.
