We are seeking a Maintenance Reliability Engineer to drive operational efficiency and equipment reliability in our Omega facility. This role is responsible for minimizing downtime, optimizing preventive maintenance programs, and leading equipment improvement initiatives . The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with a strong technical background and a proactive approach to maintenance and reliability. 12-Hour Day Shift - 730am-7pm
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Equipment Reliability: Conduct daily walk-throughs to assess equipment conditions, identify potential failures, and develop action plans to prevent downtime.
- Optimize Preventive Maintenance (PM): Analyze PM effectiveness, adjust frequencies, and enhance work instructions to improve overall equipment performance.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize CMMS, Red Zone, and production reports to track downtime trends, measure equipment effectiveness, and drive process improvements.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) & Failure Mode Analysis (FMEA): Investigate equipment failures, develop corrective actions, and implement solutions to enhance reliability.
- Enhance Maintenance Procedures: Develop SOPs, refine PM strategies, and establish standard rebuild procedures to ensure long-term equipment health.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, maintenance, and planning teams to align priorities, schedule repairs, and improve asset performance.
- Team Leadership: Supervise a team of 3-6 Maintenance Technicians , providing guidance, training, and performance accountability.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Identify and implement upgrades, new technologies, and best practices to reduce maintenance costs and improve uptime.
Qualifications Requirements - 5+ years of experience in maintenance reliability, preventive maintenance, and equipment optimization.
- Proficiency in CMMS systems, MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) , and maintenance analytics tools.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, automation, and industrial equipment , including gearboxes, motors, pumps, conveyors, and packaging machinery.
- Basic electrical knowledge , including PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and safety circuits.
- Experience with 5S, RCA, and FMEA methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to analyze failure trends, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment , lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in tight spaces as needed.
- Willing to work weekends, off-shift hours, and holidays when necessary. And a 12-Hour Day Shift - 730am-7pm
Preferred Qualifications - Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams .
- Experience using an electrical multimeter for troubleshooting .
- Prior experience in a GMP-regulated environment .
