Trauma Program Director - Level I Trauma Center Join our prestigious healthcare facility as a Trauma Program Director (TPD), where you'll lead and elevate our renowned trauma program to new heights of excellence. Position Overview As Trauma Program Director, you will oversee our comprehensive trauma program, ensuring compliance with Virginia Department of Health standards while driving clinical excellence, program development, and quality improvement initiatives. This role combines clinical expertise with strategic leadership to maintain our facility's prestigious trauma center verification. Key Responsibilities Lead trauma center verification processes and maintain compliance with American College of Surgeons (ACS) standards Develop and implement clinical protocols and practice management guidelines Direct performance improvement initiatives and quality assurance programs Oversee trauma registry operations and data management Manage intrafacility education programs and community outreach Foster relationships with EMS agencies and community partners Drive research initiatives and evidence-based practice implementation Lead and mentor interdisciplinary trauma team members Manage operational, financial, and personnel aspects of the trauma program Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing required (Master's preferred) Current Virginia RN license Minimum 3 years clinical nursing leadership experience in Trauma, ED, or ICU Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC CEN or CCRN certification (required within 2 years) Proven experience in trauma program management and survey preparation Strong regulatory compliance and performance improvement background About Our Location Located in Virginia, our facility offers the perfect blend of professional opportunity and quality of life.
