About the Role
The Company is in need of an Interim Global Chief Compliance Officer to lead its confidential compliance strategy on a global scale. The successful candidate will be responsible for serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on a wide range of risk and compliance issues, with a focus on regulatory considerations in the commercial insurance and reinsurance sectors. This includes, but is not limited to, licensing, surplus lines, professional standards, transparency and disclosure, privacy and data protection, and M&A due diligence. The role also involves staying abreast of legal and regulatory developments, representing the company in engagements with regulators and industry associations, and building a framework to address emerging trends that may impact the business.Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in implementing and overseeing compliance programs, with a strong preference for those with a background in the insurance industry. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of corporate compliance laws and regulations, experience in dealing with regulatory authorities, and a proven track record of managing compliance in complex business environments. Key qualifications include the ability to analyze strategic and operational issues, effective collaboration skills, strong emotional intelligence, and the ability to inspire and develop a global compliance team. The role requires a decisive leader with personal integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to make pragmatic decisions that align with the company's strategy.
