JOB TITLE: MidwestRegion Sales Manager - AFHDEPARTMENT NAME: Away From Home Sales TeamLOCATION: Carmel, INSTATUS: Full-TimeSCOPEThe Midwest Region Sales Managerwill be responsible for increasing and maintaining the profitable sales of all Java House, Splenda and Heartland branded products (Sweeteners, Syrups, Creamers, Java House) within their assigned Broadline Distribution region. Responsibilities include increasing Splenda and Java House volume growth, managing a broker network, working within a team to achieve national sales goals and targets, and helping define and execute programs and promotions that will grow sales in their region.The successful candidate will possess a proven track record of Broadline Distribution sales, Regional Chain relationships and sales, K-12 understanding, and an intimate understanding of the inner workings of the Away from Home channel.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop, Motivate, and hold Accountable up to 15 different Brokers partnersOwnership in developing Objectives-Goals-Plan to deliver top & bottom line AOP.Work with Finance to make sure assigned region is financially healthy and Deductions and Pricing programs are clear and in place.Execute National Marketing initiatives and new product launchesAbility to attend all Major National Tradeshows and regional shows throughout the calendar year.Travel up to 50% of the time.Activate local and national marketplace initiatives and promotions to build brand development and maximize brand performanceAnalyze business trends to develop business growth strategyPHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to physically perform the functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motionsMust be able to sit for extended periods of time and interact with computers, telephone and other electronic mediaMust possess visual acuity to document company recordsMust be able to lift 20 poundsQUALIFICATIONS5-7 Years Foodservice industry sales experience and broker management requiredClear understanding of Broadline Distribution selling process, leveraging products, R&D, Menu & Market trends to create strategic partnerships with the Customer and their Supply Chain network.BS/BA degree and minimum of five years of sales experience or demonstrated success in other sales capacities.Excellent planning, oral, and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal, selling, and negotiation skills - ability to build and sustain relationshipA command of business analytics including computer literacy and finance/controlsAbility to meet deadlines
