We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Full-Time Manager of Operations at Albany Gastroenterology Consultants of Albany, New York
The Manager of Operations responsibilities are:
  • Collaborate with the Practice Administrator to manage the development of clinical and operational policies and procedures.
  • Aid with responsibilities concerning payroll and benefits.
  • Assist with staffing, including selection and hiring and works with the Practice Administrator and Human Resources to handle performance improvement, discipline and or termination of employees.
  • Coordinate and report any building issues to the Property Management Manager including any upgrades to the property.
  • Oversee all office signs and posters.
  • Support Practice Administrator with managing physician licensure, credentialing, and recertification processes
  • Work with Vendors including communicating with personnel and problem solving where needed
  • Coordinate Insurance Chart Audits in collaboration with IT
  • Serves as a liaison in collaboration with the Practice Administrator with outside parties, vendors, suppliers and professional associates.
  • Assists or prepares correspondence and other documentation upon request.
  • Communicate with the Providers and staff.
  • Participate in key practice meetings of which some are in the evening.
  • Assist Practice Administrator and Physicians with general issues, as required.
  • Abides by the policies, procedures, guidelines, rules, testing, security, administration and confidentiality of the Patients and Practice under the guidelines of OSHA and HIPAA Laws and safeguards.

The Manager of Operations must have the following qualifications and experience:
  • Experience with project management
  • Demonstrates strong time management skills and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and staff, both verbally and in writing
  • Management experience and skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a stressful, fast environment
  • Self-motivated, proactive individual with excellent follow-up skills and attention to detail
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft and medical practice software
  • Can perform duties accurately in a timely and efficient manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Overall knowledge of office procedures
  • Able to navigate the EMR System
  • Must be able to have transportation to travel to the bank and store as needed.

  • Must demonstrate patience, courteousness and respect
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability for discretion, diplomacy, and poise in staff and patient interactions
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA and/or the ability to be always trained and follow these guidelines

Education and Experience
  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Operations experience and/or medical practice experience

Supervisory Responsibility
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience
