The Project Controls Specialist - Cost is responsible for collaborating with the project team to execute cost control functions on large complex projects to increase visibility of project costs, performance, and risks. Provides formal and ad hoc analyses of project data to the project management staff to support the decision-making process and achievement of project goals. Ideal candidates must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of cost drivers in the construction industry, analytical and problem solving skills, and have the ability to work independently and interact professionally with Project Managers, team leaders, and engineering staff.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Finance/Accounting
or
Education: High school Diploma or GED
Experience: Four years of related experience
Travel: 15-25%
Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Executes project cost control functions.
- Develops the project budget form estimate based on Project Execution Plan (PEP).
- Develop and maintains the project cost report with minimal supervision.
- Develop project forecasts for labor, cost, billings, and cash.
- Maintains change management program.
- Works with Subcontract partners on cost and progress measurement.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
