Description
Summary:
The Tool Room Attendant receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, materials, and equipment in industrial establishment. Issues PPE, tools and equipment to workers and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned, manually or using computer.
Duties:
Distribution & Collection of tools

• Issue tools PPE and supplies to employees and maintain employee tool cards
• Ensure return of issued tools, kits and equipment back to the tool room after use and are in good working order.
• Inspect forklifts and operates forklifts.

Receive material

• Receive, inspect and confirm products/supplies delivered to the facility
• Store material properly on the shelves or in the tool room.

Inventory

• Keep an active inventory of all tools not located in the tool room...Batch Plant, Chuck Room, Pipe Plant, Off Line, and Maintenance Portable Box
• Do cycle counts on current inventory when requests are provided by Purchasing Department.
• Assist with Physical Inventories.

House Cleaning

• Keep warehouse and grounds outside the warehouse clean and orderly.
• Clean, sweep, and mop the tool room.
• Keep tool room crib organized and clean.

Other duties

• May include but not limited to : courier for company business, restock other facility areas with supplies, prepare any material from the tool room for next day production, prepare materials for pour crew, count and deliver hold downs to the chuck room, cut all beam bolsters and slab bolsters to proper sizes, clean and restock plugs after prep crew removes from beams, grease and install magnets for inserts, and assist maintaining SDS books.

Working conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Tool room attendants are supervised by the Purchasing Manager.

$18.50

Northeast Prestressed Products, LLC maintains office, manufacturing and storage facilities on a 28-acre site in Cressona, Pennsylvania strategically located near major transportation arteries. The plant, with 80,000 square feet of fully enclosed production area, houses prestress and precast operations, as well as all support activities.
