Hermes Landscaping is seeking a dynamic Business Development Representative to join our award-winning team. This key position is responsible for expanding our residential client base and driving business growth. Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Local Market Knowledge – A deep understanding of the Kansas City, Overland Park, and South Overland Park residential development locations.
- Kansas City Builder & Developer Community Expertise – Familiarity with the KC Builder and Developer community, with the ability to connect and build relationships in this sector.
- Exterior Subcontractor Sales Experience – Proven experience selling in exterior subcontractor work, particularly in the residential market.
- HBA Familiarity – Member or intimate knowledge of the Home Builders Association (HBA), with the ability to leverage these connections for business development.
- Client Relationship Mastery – Build and nurture strong relationships with homeowners, ensuring their landscaping needs are met with creativity and excellence.
- Sales Success – Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, surpassing sales targets, and consistently delivering outstanding service.
- Project Collaboration – Work closely with the production team to ensure timely project delivery, from initial estimate to final completion.
- Industry Expertise – Stay informed about landscaping trends, providing innovative solutions to exceed client expectations.
Ideal Candidate:
- 3-5 years of experience in business-to-customer sales, preferably in landscaping or related fields.
- Excellent communication, organizational skills, and a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically to grow a client base.
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Design, Business, or a related field (preferred but not required).
