This role is responsible for working in a production line using mild steel materials and a semi-automatic MIG gun to manipulate weld pool while maintaining a constant quick paced environment. Ability to use handheld welding equipment such as welding clamps to weld or join metal components or seams of fabricated metal pieces. Ability and knowledge in operating semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using a MIG weld and spotweld processes. Responsible for thorough knowledge of appropriate safety practices; must wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety policies and practices. Experience spotwelding various metals. Monitors the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts to prevent warping, shrinking, distortion or expansion of materials. Responsible to examine work pieces for defects and ensuring a quality finished product that conforms to the customer's specification.
