Position Overview: The Civil Litigation Associate will work closely with senior attorneys on a variety of complex litigation matters. The firm handles a wide range of cases, including commercial business disputes, insurance defense, employment law, personal injury defense, municipal and government litigation, construction, and real estate disputes. Key Responsibilities: Manage and assist in the litigation of cases across several practice areas including: Commercial & Business Litigation: Contract disputes, shareholder disputes, and fraud claims. Insurance Defense & Coverage: Coverage disputes and liability claims. Employment Litigation: Defending employers in discrimination, harassment, and wage disputes. Personal Injury Defense: Defense of negligence, premises liability, and professional liability claims. Municipal & Government Litigation: Representing local governments and public officials in civil disputes. Construction Litigation: Handling contract and defect disputes. Real Estate & Land Use Litigation: Property disputes, zoning challenges, and eminent domain matters. Draft and file motions, briefs, and discovery materials. Conduct thorough legal research and prepare reports for senior counsel and clients. Represent clients in court appearances and depositions. Assist with trial preparation, including discovery and case strategy. Manage document filing and adherence to strict timelines using systems like iManage. Required Qualifications: 2-6 years of civil litigation experience, federal experience is preferred. Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania. J.D. from an accredited law school. Strong written and oral communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. A proactive, client-focused mindset with a commitment to high-quality legal service.
