The Pharmacy Technician II is responsible for assisting in the preparation, dispensing and delivery of medications to the patients of Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.

Qualifications

Registered Technicians:

Be at least 16 years of ageHave a high school or equivalent diploma, or be working to achieve a high school or equivalent diploma2 years of customer service experience preferredCertified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification is required within 9 months from date of hire.The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.Ability to multitask and attention to detail.Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations.Certified Technicians:

Associates degree in a health or related field, (with 1 year of pharmacy experience) or the equivalent in education and experience preferred.The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.Ability to multitask and attention to detail.Ability to maintain composure under stressful situationsRequirements: Registered Technicians: - Registered Pharmacy Technician with the VT Board of Pharmacy required. BLS Certification required for Pharmacy Technicians if required to administer immunizations
