Qualifications:

Bi-lingual English/Spanish **_

Minimum

-Must have a clear and current Florida Dental Hygiene license**_

Must have a current/active CPR certificate _

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: _**

_

Knowledge of dental terminology _

_

Knowledge of dental hygiene principles and practices _

_

Skills in using dental instruments and equipment and performingdental prophylaxis and scaling and root planning _

_

Ability to instruct patients in preventive dental techniques, _

_

Ability to communicate effectively _

_

Ability to manage time so can adequately treat patients but stilltreat the number of patients needed and in a timely manner _

_

Ability to work with dentists, assistants, student assistants andvolunteers in a way that promotes teamwork and the betterment of the residentsof Marion County _

Duties and Responsibilities

-: Serve as a dental hygienist in the School BasedSealant program. Provide dental assessments, take pictures of inside of students mouth for teledentistry, educate students on oral hygiene provide fluoride varnish treatments and dentalsealants.**_
