Job Summary
We're looking for a Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our PharmScript team within our Floor Technician department. In this role, you'll assist in the processing of finished product while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal compliance law.The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and is an effective communicator. They are always a team player, eager to jump in where needed and collaborate with others to support the goals of the pharmacy and needs of customers.
Responsibilities
Assist Pharmacy Supervisor with daily functionsFills daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist Assists in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedureAssist in prepacking frequently ordered medications, label and store, as needed during low volume times Packages materials and products manuallyPull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (prepack racks)Applies labels to blistercards or artromick boxes then scans product for accuracy checkAlerts pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properlyMaintains designated workstation areas and replenishes all stock supplies neededFollow all applicable government regulations including HIPPAOvertime, holidays and weekends may be required and/or expectedComplies with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress codeOther duties as assignedQualifications
High school diploma or GED is requiredMust be a registered Pharmacy Technician in Applicable StateOne year or more of Long Term Care or Retail pharmacy experience preferredAbility to work at a moderate speed1 or more year of long-term care or retail pharmacy experience.Someone reliable and will be able to work during inclement weatherRegistered technician or registration should be in the processPhysical Demands and Work Environment
