Job Description
This position will be responsible for supporting all locations within a specific region. Location regions can be found at the bottom of this description

Job Summary

Perform radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing injuries and disease. Assist with administrative and clinical needs as appropriate, such as patient registration and medical assisting duties.

Responsibilities

• Cross train and work as assigned in at least one other area of clinic operations - front office, nursing, and/or lab - based on clinic operational needs.

• Assist with troubleshooting x-ray equipment for assigned markets. Daily assignments can be done via phone/zoom. Communicates unresolved issues and those requiring PO to Manager, Radiology Services.

• Assign, monitor and review progress and accuracy of work; provide technical guidance as needed.

• Perform Performance Checklist Requirements for new x-ray staff.

• Perform monthly QAQC of clinic images and report findings to Radiology Manager. Must be willing to travel to clinical sites within market to assist with additional x-ray training as needed.

• Assist with yearly apron quality check.

• Ensure radiology binder, policies and procedures, x-ray protocol, technique chart are available and current.

• Participate in Radiology Continuing Education Review and AFC X-Ray School.

• Participate in Radiology Quarterly meetings.

• Work with Radiology Manager to help improve processes with Radiology workflow.

Other Duties/Responsibilities

• Displays flexibility, team spirit, compassion, respect, politeness, and accountability when dealing with patients and their families.

• Creates an environment of safe delivery of patient care and functions with a constant awareness of safety issues.

• Position patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures.

• Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques.

• Demonstrates knowledge of Radiation Safety, Material Safety Data Sheet and Fire/Safety policies and procedures.

• Provide patients with radiation protection equipment and ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

• Process images, review for proper identification and quality control and prepare images for reading by a physician as well as radiologist overreads.

• Utilize both digital and non-digital diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with approved radiology techniques and all policies and procedures.

• Aid provider with prescribed patient treatments in accordance with approved standards, policies, procedures, and protocol as necessary.

• Ensure imaging equipment is in optimum operating order and inform the appropriate person when it needs repairs.

• Complete forms and maintains records, logs, and reports of work performed.

• Serve as Medical Receptionist and/or Medical Assistant if/when needed within appropriate guidelines.

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.

• ARRT-registered or board eligible preferred.

• Licensed per state regulation.

Experience

Medical Imaging: 1 year (Preferred)
