Medical Dosimetrist - Full Time

Position Overview:

As a Medical Dosimetrist, you will play a crucial role in the treatment planning process for patients undergoing radiation therapy. You will collaborate closely with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to develop precise radiation dose distributions that optimize tumor control while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy tissues.

Key Responsibilities:Work with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to create personalized treatment plans for patients receiving radiation therapy.Utilize advanced treatment planning systems and software to design and calculate optimal radiation dose distributions.Conduct quality assurance checks on treatment plans to ensure compliance with safety standards.Perform contouring of target volumes and critical structures on medical imaging studies.Assist in implementing new treatment techniques and technologies as needed.Educate and support patients regarding their treatment plans and procedures.Participate in clinical meetings and case reviews to discuss patient progress and treatment outcomes.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Medical Dosimetry or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.Certification as a Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) or eligibility for certification.Previous experience in radiation oncology or medical dosimetry is preferred.Proficient in treatment planning systems (e.g., Varian Eclipse, RayStation).Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Benefits:
