Dietary Cook and Aide

to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for the food industry and a love for creating delicious meals that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.

As a

Dietary Cook and Aide , you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to perfection and served in a timely manner. You will also be providing assistance with the residents and serving as a dietary aide.

Competitive starting pay at $18/hour and increases with experience!

If medical benefits are not needed, employees can earn an additional $1.00/hour more with the insurance supplement.

Qualifications of a Dietary Cook and Aide:

Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or GEDServSafe certification preferredPrevious experience in the food industry or culinary field is preferred.Must have basic math skillsStrong communication skills to collaborate with team members effectively.Essential duties and responsibilities of a Dietary Cook and Aide:

Prepares and directs the preparation of all food served using standard recipes and special diet orders as a guide.Determines amount and type of food and supplies required for daily menus and sees that supplies are obtained from storage areas in adequate time for meal production.Coordinates meal production with meal serving hours so that food quality, temperature, and appearance is preserved.Keeps the work area clean and sanitary at all times including proper cleaning and storing of pots, pans, utensils, kitchen equipment, etc.Understands and follows all Federal, State, ServSafe, and other food service regulations in order to assure that food is handled safely throughout the receiving, storage, preparation, cooking, holding, and serving processes. This includes proper temperature logging of food, refrigerators, and freezers.Evaluates food quality and taste to assure resident satisfaction.Assists with food service aide duties as needed in order to assure resident hospitality by setting up tables, waiting tables, taking orders, serving food and beverages, bussing tables, cleaning/sanitizing tables, and washing dishes.Why work for us as a Dietary Cook and Aide?
