Position: Surgical TechnicianShift: 2 out of 4 Weekends/Month: Saturday & Sunday: 7am - 7:30pmExperience:One year of Operating Room experience preferred.Education:Successful completion of an accredited course in Operating Room Technology.Licensures/Certifications:Surgical Technician Certification PreferredCertified Surgical Technologist (by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) Certification preferred, if surgical technician training occurred on or before 12/29/2020 and candidate practiced clinically at any time during the two preceding yearsCertified Surgical Technologist (by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) Certification required upon hire if surgical training took place on or after 12/29/2020MLH may employ or contract an ST who does not meet the requirements above (from section 501HB81) to practice surgical technology if: (1) after a diligent and thorough effort has been made, the facility is unable to employ or contract with a sufficient number of qualified STs who meet the requirements of section 501; and (2) the health care facility makes a written record of its efforts under (1) and retains the record at the facility.
