Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Senior Veterinary Assistant

requiredKey Responsibilities

Triage incoming patientsObtain and record patient histories and SOAP notesDeliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients, ensuring ongoing evaluation and monitoringPerform and oversee advanced hospitalization procedures and continuous rate infusions (CRIs)Conduct in-house laboratory diagnosticsPlace intravenous (IV) catheters with proficiencyAccurately document and perform detailed patient roundsSafely handle and restrain fractious or anxious patientsMonitor and record vital signs (TPR) and maintain thorough medical recordsRecognize and respond to urgent situations requiring immediate veterinary interventionAdvocate for both the patient and client, ensuring excellent communication and compassionate careEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma requiredRVT certification OR a minimum of 3 years of consecutive Veterinary Assistant experience in an ER/CCU settingStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionallyProficiency in mathematical calculations for

drug dosages, CRIs, invoices, and estimatesCalifornia Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP) required within 60 days of hire
