For more information, please inquire directly.Summary:Join our dedicated team as a Surgical Assistant, providing vital support to surgeons during surgical procedures.Key Responsibilities:Position patients safely and effectively for optimal exposure during surgical procedures.Ensure visibility of the operative site through proper techniques such as tissue manipulation, retraction, sponging, suctioning, and irrigation.Utilize effective methods for achieving hemostasis, both temporary and permanent.Assist in closing body planes, applying wound dressings, and securing drainage systems.In this dynamic role, you will utilize critical thinking and decision-making skills with minimal supervision, thriving in a fast-paced surgical environment.Requirements:High School diploma or GED.Completion of a Surgical Technologist program.Certification as a Surgical First Assistant (CSFA), Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA), or Surgical Assistant-Certified (SA-C) with appropriate state registration.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, to be maintained for at least sixty days after hire.At UCHealth, we are dedicated to improving lives through learning, healing, and human connection.
