As a Physical Therapist, you will implement individualized physical therapy programs, conducting assessments, planning treatments, educating patients, and collaborating with other health professionals to maximize patient progress towards functional goals.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Qualifications:Possess the knowledge and skills to address the physical and developmental needs of diverse populations.Remain calm and effective in emergency or crisis situations.Graduate from an APTA-approved physical therapy program.At least one year of experience as a physical therapy aide.Current license from the state Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide direct patient care by evaluating functional needs and outcomes, consulting with other specialists, and adjusting care plans accordingly.Design and implement tailored care plans focusing on thorough assessments and the involvement of significant others when appropriate.Conduct therapy practice in accordance with standardized care protocols.Guide support staff in achieving patients' functional goals.Communicate effectively with all health professionals and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Adhere to hospital and departmental policies, including safety and infection control standards.Document evaluations and treatment plans accurately, ensuring regular updates and maintaining necessary signatures.Invest in professional growth through continuing education and engagement with current literature.Offer leadership and direction to staff while promoting physical therapy within the community.Demonstrate proficiency in English to fulfill job requirements effectively.Exhibit problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret instructions and evaluations consistently.Practice active listening and assess social situations with an objective perspective.Comply with community policies regarding workplace safety, including infection control and emergency protocols.Uphold all company policies regarding resident rights and confidentiality (HIPAA).Understand and comply with the Employee Handbook policies.Perform other related duties as assigned.We are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination or harassment based on race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by law.The Colorado Job Application Fairness Act (JAFA) prohibits employers from requesting age-related information from prospective employees.
