DescriptionMaine Medical Center, P6A geriatric-psych inpatient unit with twenty-four-hour multidisciplinary behavioral health and medical services for adults with acute psychiatric needs who may have concomitant medical issues which are non-emergent.Position Highlights:Sign-on bonus: Up to $2,000, amount prorated for part-timeBase hourly rate: $19.53Recognized leader: U.S. News & World Report has named Maine Medical Center (MMC) as the top hospital in Maine for 2023-2024.Growth: Largest Employer in the State and the largest Healthcare provider in Northern New EnglandResponsibilitiesDevelop a working knowledge of therapeutic interventions and interactions for common diagnoses in the population served, following each patient's treatment and behavior plan.Maintain the unit schedule, ensuring timely transitions and a safe environment by conducting regular environmental rounds, removing any sharps or prohibited items as assigned.Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as directed by an RN, supporting their daily needs and encouraging independence.Facilitate milieu-based community and leisure/recreation groups to promote social interaction and community engagement.Accompany patients on transports as assigned, ensuring safety and providing support throughout.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
