Host / Reservationist Job Description
Summary:
As a Host at Niku Steakhouse, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional dining experiences that reflect our Michelin-star standards. As the first point of contact for our guests, our Hosts will set the tone for their visit and have the unique opportunity to make each experience memorable. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, strong follow-through, and a commitment to excellence.
Essential Functions include, but may not be limited to:
- Manage Dining Room Flow: Organize the pace of the dining room to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for all guests.
- Menu Updates: Regularly update and print menus to reflect daily and seasonal changes in our food, wine, and cocktail offerings. (Adobe InDesign and G-Suite experience preferred)
- Guest Reception: Greeting guests arriving, checking their belongings, and escorting them in a warm and friendly manner.
- Clientele Details: Maintain detailed notes/logs to enhance personalized service and uphold the highest standards of guest experience.
- Collaboration: Work closely alongside Management, the Maitre’D, and Chefs daily to set up the shift for success.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in a similar role at a Michelin-level (or equivalent) restaurant.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
