Our commitment is to provide the most comprehensive and reliable analytics platform accessible and trusted by all.About the Operational Finance TeamThe Operational Finance Team is responsible for a variety of tasks that are instrumental in keeping the business running on a day-to-day basis. There are five teams within the Operational Finance Function each serving a specific purpose to the company: Accounting and Accounts Payable - Accurately records all vendor-related transactions and keeps our vendors paid, Billing Team - provisions all customers access to Mixpanel and ensures proper revenue recognition, Collection Team - records all customer payments and ensures we get paid on time, Payroll - prepares payrolls for all employees worldwide and Deal Desk - collaborates with sales to ensure streamlined and compliant quoting process. The team is split between the Bay Area, London, Bangalore and Barcelona.About the RoleThe Procurement Manager will be responsible for the procurement program at Mixpanel, and will report to the Corporate Controller. They will be responsible for managing organizational spending, maximizing vendor value, optimizing procurement processes, minimizing risk and assisting business partners throughout the organization with the procurement of third-party tools and services.This role requires a breadth of experience and both strategic and operational skills. A successful candidate will enjoy using their skillset to streamline operations, enhance processes, and continuously support and educate others to develop a world-class procurement program. Additionally, this individual will work towards enhancing our relationships with third-party vendors.Responsibilities

Own and manage Mixpanel’s SaaS procurement partner relationship for all SaaS purchases and renewals.Collaborate cross-functionally with key internal teams such as FP&A, Security, IT and Legal on purchasing processes and improvements.Build strategic relationships with key vendors and technology partners in order to leverage strategic discounts and maximize value.Assist with business case reviews to ensure new spending is justified.Negotiate with vendors to reduce costs and ensure spend comes in below/at budget.Track and forecast levels of spend for SaaS products as well as services.Liaise with key company employees to determine their purchasing needs.Monitor company spending and build a culture of long-term savings on procurement-related costs.Undertake value-for-money reviews of existing contracts and arrangements.Work closely with the Legal team to negotiate and streamline contracts.When needed, conduct research to source the best products and vendors in terms of value and quality, and conduct compliance checks, and financial background checks for vendors.Lead initiatives to implement procurement process improvements.Provide basic procurement process training for Mixpanel employees who are involved with the procurement of products and services.Assist with SaaS tool rationalization and optimization.We're Looking For Someone Who Has

7+ years of work experience as a Procurement Specialist or Procurement Manager.Extensive experience working with SaaS companies and vendors.Degree in something related.Experience working in a mature Procurement environment (ideally Enterprise).Experience with Procurement improvement initiatives.Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgment.Experience with managing and mitigating risks.Strong data management and analytics skills - you have the ability to gather, clean and interpret data.Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships both internally and externally.Effective communicator as you will need to collaborate with all functions of the business.Adaptability — you understand that change is constant, and you embrace it.Agility and resilience — you move quickly and encourage continued improvement.Strong work ethic, desire to learn, and a drive to excel.Professional polish - accustomed to and comfortable with presenting to the C suite without extensive coaching and prep (internally and externally).Benefits and Perks
