Role: AutoCAD Drafter Job Location: Atlanta, GA Duration: Long term Contract We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Drafter to support our Network Underground Services (NUS) team. This role is essential to the success of the team, focusing on the design, creation of specification drawings, and maintenance of underground drawings, while ensuring strict adherence to departmental procedures.
Key Responsibilities: - Design and create engineering drawings using AutoCAD to support the Network Underground Design Engineer and the NUS Test Group.
- Maintain and update GIS data and underground drawings, ensuring data accuracy and adherence to operational standards.
- Work closely with the engineering team to develop and refine designs and drawings.
- Implement drawing methodologies and project priorities as directed by the Project Manager.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously under the guidance of the Design Engineer.
- Adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks based on evolving project demands.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with AutoCAD, with a strong focus on AutoCAD 2D design.
- GIS experience is preferred, but not required.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team, working closely with engineers and technicians.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and manage deadlines in a high-demand environment.
Work Environment:
- In-office availability for at least four days per week is required , with the option to work remotely one day per week.
- Work as part of a small, collaborative team, engaging with engineers and technicians on a variety of projects.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience producing underground utility drawings or similar technical designs.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD with a willingness to learn GIS systems, if not already experienced.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate and collaborate with team members.
